Radwan, Mariam

Radwan, Mariam

1989 - EGYPT

Bio

Her work began with abstract sculpture of organic forms. She now explores various mediums and techniques. Her approach is primarily focused on the study of form, her subjects, and sometimes nature. She mainly works with the manipulation of sounds and experiments with different street projects, including performances, sound projects, drawings, and with cartography as a daily ritual. Through an inner exploration of form, she has chosen to inscribe them in various formats, related to her journeys and her travels, in order to express, beyond words, feelings that can be sent by mail. She develops kinds of mental mappings that become organic plastic research, reminiscent of both painting and abstract sculpture developed in the 20th century.
